Cookbooks at the Library!
By Teri White
It's official, there are three (3) copies of the Raintree Quilters Guild Cookbook in the Library system now. I contacted the reference authority at our new Central Library and suggested that she purchase a "really good" cookbook for the libraries in Warrick County. I explained why this one was so good with great recipes plus terrific illustrations to begin each chapter, all for a good price. The library representative said she could place three copies. I picked them up at the last guild meeting and delivered them to her. We got the check and so, it’s official… our cookbook shares space with Rachael Ray and Julia Childs. I think it’s prettier though, don’t you?

Let’s Get Scrappy!

By Kelly Pace

Let's use up some of our great scrap stash fabrics. The Workshop Committee has a scrap quilt project planned for the August workshop, and our Traveling Teacher Committee has Sally Schneider joining us for classes in August. We're going to have a scrap block exchange beginning in July, with sign-up at the June meeting. The blocks will be 5" squares of different fabrics (100% cotton, quilt shop quality--no blends). Details will be provided at the June meeting; however, if you would like to get started choosing your scraps to cut, then put in a fresh rotary cutting blade and get started cutting!

The Power of Two Reveal is scheduled for the July 2 guild meeting. Hope everybody is having “twice the fun”!

Travel Club

By Lisa Mathis

Mystery Bus Trip seats are now open to non-guild members. We will be taking reservations at the June meeting. Be sure to ask your family and friends to join us and share in the fun.

The trip is Saturday, June 28th. The $25 fee gets you a comfortable ride on a coach bus, plenty of shopping opportunities, a short stop for a bit of culture, and a unique dining experience (meal is extra). We will leave at 7 am from the Evansville Eastside Lowe’s parking lot and return by 9 pm.

Questions? or to sign up, call Lisa Mathis at 925-6788 or email lisa@mathisclan.com

June Door Prize

Guylene & Co. Be sure to buy a chance on this great prize. Thank you to the group of gals for giving us a great way to support our newest quilt shop!
