Cutting and Power Cutting, Too – Based upon the book of the same title, “Power Cutting” is a fast and efficient approach to rotary cutting that allows quilters to choose the one that is best for the task at hand. For instance, working with scraps, strips and charm squares requires different techniques than working yardage. Much of the class will be using the process and the balance of the day will be spent making project. Quilters may choose to make any project of their liking using what they have learned in the process exercises.
Fabric Stir Fry – Learn how to use traditional blocks, original ones, left over parts of quilts, orphan blocks, and inherited pieces to make a one of a kind quilt. In the class Debbie will emphasize making blocks or units in any size from scraps, using templates-free techniques when possible, and fitting together odd size units to make quilts that are fun, sure to be cherished, unique and personal.
