2025 Row Quilt Exchange
The 2025 Row Quilt Exchange will be operated similar to a round-robin where several people each make part of a quilt adding to the parts already made, except the rows won't be sewn together till the end. SPECS: All rows are 30.5" wide to finish at 30". Row height is up to you. Any technique may be used. For example a quilt may end up with applique' rows, pieced or paper-pieced rows, traditional block rows, etc..
JANUARY--Bring your row quilt exchange in a small tote with your name and phone number on it to the January meeting. Include fabrics that you would like to be used in your row quilt. 3-4 half yard pieces should be plenty. At the end of the January meeting we'll randomly distribute the totes among the participants. Each participant will then make a row. Don't sew the rows together, the owner will do that at the end.
FEBRUARY, MARCH, APRIL, MAY--Bring the tote with your row plus the original row to the meetings. Totes will again be exchanged and participants will continue to make new rows.
JUNE--Bring the tote. It will now go the originator who will arrange and assemble the rows into a quilt.
JULY--Bring assembled quilt tops for the REVEAL. If a participant can't make one of those meetings she should make sure the bag gets to the meeting or call Meg Atwater-Singer, or Perri Kentner.
2025 Challenge
The 2025 Challenge quilt will be an EARTH/AIR/FIRE/WATER challenge. At the October meeting persons were assigned one of the elements (from among those in the title). The reveal is at the 2025 quilt show. I will include the specs in the website as soon as I can get them....can't find my copy though I know I was assigned "WATER".
